I’ve lived in Colorado since 1997 and am married and have three children. I’ve had a longstanding curiosity about people and what drives their behavior. This curiosity eventually led me to the field of clinical social work and specifically, psychotherapy. The most rewarding part about my job is when my work with a client assists them in beginning to make some positive changes in their lives and relationships.
Population: Adults of all ages. Specialties: Anxiety, Bipolar, Depression, other Mood disorders, Personality disorders, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, other Trauma, and other chronic conditions. Interventions: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Insight-Oriented Therapy, and EMDR Therapy. I am a generalist behavioral health therapist and I treat individual adults. I work to provide my clients with a warm, nonjudgmental environment in which they are able to learn, grow, and heal. I take a strength-based perspective in that I believe in partnering with you to build on your existing strengths and to improve your resilience. I assist clients in gaining and integrating new knowledge and insight and in developing new skills. In addition, I guide clients to reprocess their trauma so they can live more freely and more in line with who they truly are.
I enjoy giving back to my community by volunteering with the disadvantaged population in the Denver area. For enjoyment I like to spend time with my family. I also make sure to have some physical activity in my life and enjoy skiing, running, tennis, and have completed 6 half marathons in the last few years.
