Kristina Normann - LCSW

I am a licensed clinical social worker and addictions counselor with thirteen years of experience working in the field of mental health and addictions. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, life transition issues, trauma, and addiction. I use techniques such as mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), insight-building, and strengths-based counseling to assist clients through the healing process. I work primarily with adults and young adults. 

I strive to help clients recognize their strengths in difficult times and promote healing from past hardships, stress, and addiction issues. I use a holistic approach, with emphasis on the mind-body connection. I believe that healing takes place in the context of relationships, therefore it is vital to establish trust and acceptance between therapist and client. Several clients have told me that they appreciate my compassionate, non-judgmental and collaborative approach.

I received my Bachelors from the University of Colorado and my Masters in Clinical Social Work from Boston University. After moving back to Colorado, I began working at the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless and gained experience in various clinical and management roles. In 2016, I opened a private practice in Denver where I continue to see individual clients today. In addition to my Masters degree, I hold a License of Addiction Counseling.

My office is located in central Boulder and has on-site parking for clients. I am open to both telehealth and in person sessions.
