I have been a licensed clinical social worker for twenty years and have successfully helped people of all ages with a variety of problems and difficult situations.
One of my passions as a therapist is helping adult clients develop more compassion and kindness toward themselves (and others) while gaining a better understanding of how their behaviors and thought patterns impact their happiness. Whether it’s freedom from self-criticism, improving communication, setting better boundaries, or learning to take care of themselves the same way they take care of others, I help clients make lasting changes that promote a more balanced, peaceful life.
Another of my passions is working with older clients. I have a Certificate in Gerontology, and I am a Certified Dementia Practitioner, which means that I have specialized training in difficulties related to the aging process and the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s Disease or Dementia. I provide emotional support to patients and caregivers navigating difficulties with memory loss or behavioral changes in later life and assist caregivers in combating burnout, offering practical strategies and advice for communicating with their aging loved ones using skillful kindness and compassion.
