Bennie Butler

My name is Dr. Bennie Wardell Butler, and I am a PhD, LPC, LAC and CTAP. I am also licensed with OBH for SUD treatment and DUI classes. I am a college adjunct professor at CCCOnline and Colorado Early Colleges Castle Rock. I am the owner of LoveJoy counseling in Centennial Colorado and will see individuals in person or at my office by appointment. We specialize in addictions, dual diagnosis, trauma, abuse, psychosis, bi-polar, did, anxiety, depression, and couples’ issues. My intervention methods are eclectic, but primarily consist of existential, CBT, DBT, ACT, Schema and person centered.

I am a firm believer in the dual nature of the therapeutic environment where the therapist and the client formulate goals and interventions and then the client works upon these. I work best with individuals who appreciate someone that is honest and real and not just a person in a chair across from them. Rarely will you hear cliches from me. I accept that individuals come to me for a reason and to that end we work together through a therapeutic alliance to solve issues and resolve sufferings in that client’s life.
