Hi, I’m Whitney Lentz. I specialize in anxiety, depression, challenging negative self-talk, navigating life transitions, intuitive eating, body image, grief, and relationship struggles. I enjoy helping others overcome barriers and find healthy, effective coping skills and habits to support their lives and align with their truest values. I work to address wellness as a whole: mental, physical, emotional, spiritual, and social.
My approach is calm, understanding, and relatable with a sense of humor and a ton of compassion. I hope to make therapy approachable, supportive, safe, and insightful. My goal is to help clients find self-acceptance, joy, peace, and fulfillment in areas that are most meaningful to them. Common topics include personal goals, self-care, processing past experiences, boundaries, self-compassion, communication, self-esteem/worth, perfectionism, and mindfulness.
I utilize evidence based modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. I completed my Master’s Degree in Counseling at The University of North Texas in 2013 and have worked in a variety of settings including multi-level treatment for eating disorders, higher education and private practice.
Reaching out can be tough and I hope to provide a comfortable place for that first step to land. I align with health at every size, LGBTQIA-inclusivity, multicultural awareness, and have completed trauma sensitive training. I offer telehealth services to Colorado residents and I would love to hear from you!
