Stacie (she/her) earned her Masters of Social Work from the University of Denver Graduate School of Social work in 1993. She has been in practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 1996. Prior to beginning private practice, she worked in the field of community mental health. Throughout her career, Stacie has worked with a diverse population of people with a wide range of issues.
Stacie completed training in the Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Training Program through the Denver Institute for Psychoanalysis in 2012. In conjunction with following the core values, ethical principles and standards of the Social Work profession, she uses a Psychodynamic approach to her practice.
This approach lends itself to addressing emotional distress. Many of the difficulties people experience are related to issues that lie outside of conscious awareness. Working to bring these issues into awareness allows for the opportunity to work through them. The result can mean not only the alleviation of symptoms related to emotional distress, but the ability to live a more meaningful and purposeful life.
Stacie believes in the uniqueness of each person and that psychotherapy can provide an opportunity to develop vitality and greater fulfillment in life. She welcomes working with people from varying backgrounds, cultures and life experiences.
