Cecilia is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Registered Art Therapist. She is a Denver native and has been a practicing therapist for over 10 years. She tailor-makes a therapeutic plan for you to help you find your best self again. She believes that no man is an island and that we all need a little bit of help sometimes. She received a Bachelor’s Degree at University of Colorado in Boulder in Psychology and Fine Arts and her Master’s Degree at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles in Marital and Family Therapy and Clinical Art Therapy.
Cecilia considers variety the spice of life and has dedicated herself to learning and growing serving a variety of populations of all ages and orientations. She has worked in a multitude of settings including but not limited to: outpatient services, group homes, psychiatric hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. She specializes in working with individuals experiencing depression and anxiety, those who have experienced trauma, as well as those struggling with relationship issues. Cecilia is also experienced in working with children and families. She uses an assortment of therapeutic tools and orientations as they are appropriate to your specific treatment including: cognitive-behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, systems theory, art therapy, and mindfulness.
