Diana Baumgarten - LCSW

I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 1997 with a wide range of experience. I have worked with adults in a public mental health setting, children and adolescents in a school setting and private practice in the past. I have loved every experience that I have had and feel I’ve especially honed my skills when working with children. My goal in my career and life has always been to help others and as life presents its challenges, I believe my role is more important than ever.

My office is located in Lakewood with easy access from Denver, Arvada, Golden and Littleton. I recently finished a 16 year long career in the school system where I provided extensive mental health support to youth. I am able to give support regarding navigation of the educational system and I’m also happy to connect with school’s to ensure good continuity for your child. I utilize play to build relationships with children, gain their trust and promote positive change within the individual and family.

I have worked with adults around issues of coping with anxiety, mood disturbances, depression, past trauma and women’s issues. I take an eclectic approach when providing therapy to my clients including IFS, Cognitive Behavioral and Family Systems depending on the needs and I’m always interested in learning more about different approaches. I am also extremely excited about being trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).

I believe that building a strong and trusting relationship is most important to the therapeutic process when working with children and adults as well as being compassionate and empathetic. I’m looking forward to working with you, your child and/or your family.
