Counseling is an opportunity to be listened to, to be heard, and to be understood. These are essential human needs that often go unfulfilled in day-to-day life. When was the last time someone really focused on you—when you were valued by another person who helped you to reach your capabilities? I am a trained professional and fellow human being who respects and values the power of a healing relationship. My goal is to provide a safe, caring space where we can explore together your reasons for seeking counseling and to create an approach that best suits your needs.
My professional experiences have included work in the areas of depression and anxiety, relationships, grief and loss, death and dying, aging and caregiving, stress management, childhood trauma, crisis intervention, life and career transitions, creative and performing artist issues, and sexuality. I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from Oregon State University and a Master’s of Education in Counseling Psychology from Washington State University. I am a calm, mindful listener who provides a solid foundation to support others to flourish. I value creativity and collaboration and the opportunity to make meaning out of life’s experiences together.
