Susan Monahan

Susan Monahan is a licensed clinical social worker who has worked in the field of mental health since 1986 and practiced independently since 2002. She received her masters of social work from the University of Denver in 1994. She trained with Dr. Harville Hendrix in the area of Imago Relationship Therapy.

Susan works with children ages four an up and enjoys providing couples therapy. She is especially interested in cross-cultural issues. She has experience with a wide range of issues including ADHD, substance abuse, family and parenting issues, depression, anxiety, trauma and grief. She is certified in EMDR and Imago Relationship Therapy.

Susan works in various settings including clinics and hospitals, and has worked in homes dealing with parenting issues for children with severe emotional problems. Her experience is extensive in chronic and persistent mental illness such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression and personality disorders.
